Default starview 4 installed, well chuffed

hi guys, i just replaced my newly installed VM box with my starview im well chuffed but a couple of issues

when i scanned for the chans they all come up, i looked through sports and could view sports 1 / 3 etc. sky sports news wouldnt work, just got a blank screen. then setanta 1 took time to load, setenta 2 worked perfectly. then non of the setanta channels would show but sky sports news would. turning it off and off again they all work fine. why did this happen and will it happen again?

also there is no EPG listings for some reason

thanks, your help is much appreciated

Where exactly do you get the emu setting? When I type 1570 at the menu > installation stage all I get are three options, one of which is 'key code'. Is this the emu?

Guys, for anyone who has the same problem as me, read on. I think i found the solution.

This is how i originally setup my starview4

Turned on, loaded 102, channelscan, emu on

i did this several times, the channels worked for some time but decided to go off when they felt like it.

It was puzzling but having a play i noticed something different so try this

Turned on, load 102 or 101, channelscan, exit to a $ channel
then, and this is the important part. go back and do the EMU setting, then exit and it will say its updating or saving.

Bingo, no more problems. my box has been fine now for about 12 hours.

i now presume that even though you put EMU on originally, i think it could be a bug in the software as it never said "updating/saving".

thoughts and comments please

if you dont get the saving bit, wait until the picture goes then turn epg off, exit, epg on exit, and you should get the updating box
