Default Sky Card - no C4 or C5

Hi All - new to this forum so please be kind!

I moved into a new house and they left the sky dish and receiver and a card - but it appears the card is not registered to the box.

When I put the card in neither C4 or C5 or other C5 channels appear but I get Sky 3 and all the other C4 sister channels (except C4+1) the channels go from 103 - 106. Now when I put the card into the slot the wrong way around I can see C4 and C5 and sister channels in the EPG but can't watch C5 or the sister channels.... but C4 is watchable... seems strange to me...........

Any ideas.....

How long have you left the card the right way round in the box for?

C4 doesnt need a card, although C5 does. (HOWEVER both C4 & C5 do need a card in the slot to activate the epg entries!)

This really needs sorting in a future software upgrade for Sky boxes.

Thanks Analoguesat - The problem though is that the card is activated - ie when it is the correct way around I get Sky 3, but I can't get C4 or C5 and why does C4 and C5 disappear from the EPG - which makes no sense to me!

Could be a faulty card reader.

Could it be an Irish card? What BBC & ITV region do you get.
