Default Your Hardware Recomendations

Hi all looking for some information the world of Sat TV on the PC.
I've been using a moterised setup on various set top boxes for a couple of years now but just recently bought a 42 inch HD plasma TV and the picture quality over scart is quite dodgy but excelent from my PC over HDMI.
So Im wondering wether to splash out a lot of cash on a HD dreambox or build a HTPC which I could do a lot cheaper as I have a lot of the bits needed already so heres my questions

What PC card should I get for HD content?
Can these cards operate a motreisd dish?
Are things like CCCam available in a PC setup so I can watch the football via clines?
Any other things I might need to be aware off?

Thanks in advance for any guidence you can offer
