Before I try any further is it possible to unlock a Blackberry - I have a few models from the 7000 to 8000 series - to work with a Virgin pay as you go card just for telephone calls?

I know you can get manufacturer unlock codes but would appreciate someone with more knowledge on this giving me a heads up before i waste a few hours trying.

Well I wasted a few minutes and apparently if your Blackberry is on Vodaphone dont bother paying for the unlock codes on those ripoff internet sites.

Just go to the vodaphone forum and ask for an unlock code and they will give it to you free of charge within a few days!

I have asked for one and am waiting for my unlock code.
