Ok, so atm Ive been having a fiddle around with what channels I get through the cable (straight to TV).
I pick up some analogue (VHF kinda area i think). I've went through and picked up things such as Sky Sports 3, UKTV Channels and others, which I presume are the analogue. Of course these channels are scrambled to an extent. They flicker about and move around with bad colours. My TV is quite recent and has a CA Slot. Is there a way in which this could be used for getting those channels? Are there any tutorials for 'hacking' (if thats the term) a Sci Atl or Gen Inst analogue box? Im actually just interested - and nb: i dont care that analogue is being switched off. Thanks for your advice. *for educational purposes - more than literraly. (im intrigued by analogue cable)*

the cam slot is for terrestrial receiver in most tv's, the sony bravia is the only one i have heard of with a cable receiver, but they are all digital.
The old analogue receivers are a bit hard to come by but cheap if you can find one, you used to either chip them or there was an external box you could get to go between the cable and receiver. |
