If you tie a ball of string to it, if it blows off the wall you can follow the string to locate it, its very annoying to loose your dish.
Notice i didnt mention baked beans once !

I tied a pair of my wifes knickers to my dish and it works like an raf windsock you can see if it gets too windy, if so i bring it indoors and balance it on a few tyres on top of the tv set, you can use extra tyres for added height.

Buy a cctv camera, focus it on the dish in windy conditions to keep your eye on it. Keep it upwind of the dish, in case the dish blows off and hits the camera. But if the wind changes direction????. Answer get a motorised camera [wind operated], you'll get one in any good poundstretcher store

Any well mounted dish shouldnt blow down in anything short of extreme storm conditions. If you have one of those horrible cheap L-bend mounts take it down, throw it away and get some T&K mounts and a short length of scaffold tube. Bolt the T&K's to the wall using "expanding rawlbolt anchorss" and the dish might move a bit in a gale but it wont come down.

Even my shoddily mounted dishes (the mounts are screwed onto fenceposts!) have never failed although they have all needed realigning more than once after gales.
