Default Eurovox slimline helps

Hi

I bought a eurovox slimline and tried to set it up yesterday, i am not very good with computers but i managed to install the required stuff i think.
Then when i set the box up with my tv, i scanned for channels and all were found, the problem is only the likes of bbc1 itv etc were found all the channels like sky sports-skyone-setanta all say scrambled channels??

does anyone know were i have gone wrong? the channels are being found and the box is working so i presume ive done the download stuff correct, its just the actual scanning i am doing wrong? does anyone have any answers please??

Thanks

it sounds like its still just the fta firmware thats on the box, did you reflash the box and if so which firmware did you use ?

Hi

Thanks for replying, i dont really know to be honest what flashing the box means? I just followed the instructions from the company i bought the box off when downloading. I downloaded from the link they provided
and then downloaded the relevant box (mine being the eurovox slimline).

They told me to follow instructions from but this was coming up as error on page and not found, so i had to basically just guess what i was doing?

How do i go about getting the correct firmware onto my box???

Sorry to be a pain!!!

the instructions they give you were probably to download the FTA (free to air) firmware..you need to install a kuro image on to your box,

head over to www.chatterbox.cc , download the toolbar , once the toolbar is installed you will find a tab called 'files & fixes' simply look for your model under this and download the latest firmware

That is great, thanks for your help, i will try once i get home from work.
Just hope it works in time for the fight tomorow and the big match Monday night :-)

Will the lastest firmware be under this heading, or under kuro image and do i have to wipe what is on the box already??

once you have downloaded the correct firmware, do exactly the same you done with the FTA firmware , considering the whole process should take you about half an hour im sure it will be set up in time for fight !
