Need help on resetting the password - Technomate TM1000 - Techwatch Support Forums: Digital & Satellite TV, FTA, Cable, Computers, Mobile Phones, Apple and General Tech Forums

Recently from the neighbourhood a friend of mine gave me his Techomate model:1000D.I decided to change my receiver so i set up the one that he provided me with, everything was fine until i tried to add channels.I was unable to add channels because it promoted me with a password request, i asked my friend what the password was and told me that he had forgotten the password on the receiver.
Even when i tried restoring the factory settings on the system it prompted me with a password.My question is there any way i can reset the password so i can acsses the function of addding channels.

I know this may sound odd but have you tried 0000?

TM 1000's have the default 0000 so try that first

Ye i knew that the default password was 0000.Still not working.

lol not refreshed the page some sites have a prompt that someone has posted i wonder if it could be to much trouble on here if any mods are looking

Wow the normal remote looked bust to me so i had another remote i tried 2011 and i was amazed i was in thanks a lot to everyone you really helped.Good Job guys

Not something moderators have access to. Only brian the admin could implement it, if it was possible. Post a request in site feedback and announcements.

Can change thread titles though, LOL, if anyone does a forum search they will find this thread more easily.
