Default Astra Sat access via Kuro media box

Hi I am a newbie to this site. Hope I am in the correct forum section.

Objective: I have a new Pioneer Kuro plasma (KRP-600A) that has a media box with satellite CAM slots. I already have a separate SkyHD+ box and dish but if I wanted to access channels from the Astra satellite (eg FTA or Canal+ or maybe Russian), can I use the Kuro media box with an appropriate CAM card and subscription for non-FTA?

My set-up: In terms of dish hardware I installed my own system from the roof to a central point in my home and then distribution to various rooms (e.g. same channel in different rooms). I presume I will need a new dish pointing at the correct place on the horizon (i.e. different direction from Sky sat). I already have FT-125/75 ohm cables running from my roof into a LinkTV Loft Box. Cables are now hidden and I am trying to avoid running more cable in sight.

Questions:
Could I send the signals from Sky and Astra down the same cables?

Then split them between my SkyHD box and the Kuro media box?

Or is that too much bandwith for that grade of cable?

There are 2 cables from the SkyHD LNB - how many from an Astra (HD) LNB?

What is the appropriate CAM card?

Will a Kuro media box decode HD?

Any assistance appreciated. Happy to be contacted by vendors of self-install equipment/service providers.

Thanks,
Adrian

Disappointing - no replies.

What if I am more generic I.e. I have Sat box that requires a CAM and I want to subscribe to a Canal+ package - what type of CAM do I need and where would if find out about Canal+ subscriptions?

Any guidance gratefully received....

The French Canal+ package requires a Astoncrypt 2 (SECA) CAM.
It also requires a valid French address.
Packages available hereand here,and here
According to the Pioneer website,it does have a DVB-S2 tuner,so viewing of HD is possible.
From the above link,it wouls seem it has a single DVB-S2 tuner, and would only require a single cable.
The Sky HD digibox does not work with a Diseqc switch,so combining the Sky
signals with the Astra signals wouldn't be possible.
Hope that helps somewhat,Adrian.

Thanks for the reply. I have ordered a TechniSat Multytenne Twin dish, Powercam Pro and via TVCorner - Le meilleur de la télé ! a BIS subscription on a prepaid card (hopefully which actually is delivered to my home in the UK).

So after all this stuff arrives and I have installed it and run cable etc. I will leave a message with the results.

Thanks for your help,
Adrian

I've read elsewhere that TV Corner do deliver to the UK address and their after sales services has been rated as being good,so you are in safe hands with TV Corner.

As a follow on, I already have several cables running from my roof and then into my house. Once in the house they are feed into a distribution box and from there go underneath flooring and carpet to my lounge. In my lounge the cables feed my skyhd box and a return cable goes back to the distribution box (so I can watch one channel in multiple rooms.

I don't want to lift carpet and flooring again. So, from a technical perspective, if I combine my non-Sky dish feed and one of my sky feeds into one cable from my roof and then split the combined signal feed into 2 cables in my lounge, with each feeding one of the skyhd and the kuro media box, will/should each box function correctly? Hope this question make sense...
