Thanks for your help so far!
here's an old service file for ur area, some of the new channels sly 1,2 etc may be missing but it's a start, their in 8000khz increments so u could make a transponder.ini file with all the frquencies but the scan would take a while....try the ones i've attached first and see what is missing
or post in the dbox / dreambox section for an up to date service file
cheers

Thanks for that. I've manually copied all of those frequencies into MyTheatre and have picked up 278 channels - which is good, I suppose!

Next step is getting the decryption to work!

For DVBviewer (assuming your sorted with your transponders). Install vplug into C/prog files/dvbviewer/plugins or the corresponding file in vista, Now you need to give vplug some keys. Start dvbviewer, tune to a scr*mbled channel, go to plugins/vplug/show monitor, if you can see vplug, click on the blue icon top right, you should have the editor, if there is any text in the middle of the screen right click then delete all records. At the bottom of the editor you need to input the following: -
Name = N
Provider ID = 5D01
Key Index = 00
Key = 0000000000000000 (must be 16 zeros)
Then add new, do it again but change the key index to 01, then once more with key index V and key 1234, you should have 3 lines of text, close the editor, in vplug right click on the key icon (lower one at the top) select Activate selected EMM pid (AU), it should decrypt in a minute or two. Let me know how it goes.

Hi - sorry for the late reply - had to dash out.

When I try to switch to an encrypted channel in DVBViewer it just says "No Hardware Available". I have vPlug 2.2.1 - is that an out of date version? I tried what you said with the keys but nothing seemed to change from the black screen displayed after the error message.

Hopefully you can help me out when you get a minute - thanks!

EDIT: Have bypassed the "No Hardware Available" by saying that there is CI hardware available. I can now see the specs of the broadcast i.e. resolution but the keys for vPlug don't seem to work.

EDIT 2: Have upgraded vPlug to 2.3.8 - still no luck on decrypting. I get 'missing keys' N 5D01 M9 and a few errors:

[23/11/2008 01:06:01] dvbviewer3.9.2.0:S*y1 (NAR) - Added PMT filter, pid=$0101

Any ideas?
