PEAA error max 08 possible workaround

after many hours faffing around with a stubborn clone max 2008,might have a work around for the PEAA some people out there have problems with.
its long winded but hey thats what the game is all about,
will keep ya posted,whoop whoop !!

ok my max 08 has now seems stable and all channels are still available,here is what to do:

you willl need:

Voxer, (software for cdf and firmware loading),dnupman did not work for me.

and a recent CDF channel file saved by voxer.(get one from a friends box)

If you have flashed your box with the latest firmware and you get the PEAA error on the lcd then do the following:

1. turn the box on and off from the mains about 3 or 4 times quickly this should bring back the box from the dead.(if not jtag it with the max 08 tsop file and last Kuro firmware,thats what i did)

2. now download the CDF channel file using voxer to the box.you wont see any channels working because thats one of the problems with the clone boxes and the update.

3. now to get your channels back you have to mannually scan each frequency one at a time ! pain in the ass but it works.

when you start manually scanning you will find that now and then it bombs out with PEAA again !,no probs just reset the box again (power on and off 3 to 4 times)then go to the installation menu and manually edit the frequency it bombed out on. example : frequency 611.000 change it to 611.500 then rescan it will normally scan this time.
then carry on with the next manual scan

this is the reason for the PEAA error is that the eurovox rounds up the frequency to the nearest whole number and the clone box software dont like it so it crashes.
