dont know if it will work but NEED to try it, can anyone with a card reader who has booked out the boxing tonight read their card and report the tiers on this forum? i think tierinfolite and additionally XNCS will do the job. thanks. if using xncs jsut atr the card, and the tiers will show up.

OH edit: I dont know about areas i dont know if every area gets the same tier. would be best if u report areas aswell? eg excw.

please anyone, the list just isnt loading on the OD menu at all

grrr:@ it works to the extent of the box recognising there is a ppv on the card. but seems like it needs return path active to send back acknowlegment that it is been watched. which will then probably bill the said box.

what would be interesting is that if the box to open/play the event still shows on a blacklisted set top

You would need talkback connected mate,and not only that even with the correct tiers it still may not work,it would not work on a blacklisted box either,without a return path then its going nowhere im afraid,and as i say it still may not even with.
Not only that but tb shouldnt be connected,id imagine theres going to be a few boxes knocked out tonight !!

Similar sort of thing mate yes,the purchase obviously goes through the card and then back to the other end to autheticate to the mac/card if it comes back as a non subbed item it can get kicked back,

@LNDY just look at the previous replies,it MAY work it MAY not but you need return path on and a valid ppv tier even then it MAY not work. And the possibility of the box getting blacklisted is then quite high.

sorry for sounding thick, but what happens if my box gets blacklisted?

and also as for talk back, do u only need it cut if u are using on demand services.. or is it ideal to do it no matter what? rather than cut tb, i was gonna get one of the noise blockers off ebay (110216266861) . are they as good as cutting it?

They blacklist the mac of the box so it will no longer be able to connect to any of the vod features including catch up tv.
The noise blocker is the best bet on them boxes anyway matey,any other box then cut talkback,once tb is cut you cannot access any vod services,
