Default Nokia DBox2 Channels Freezing

Help please,

Having problems with my Nokia DBox2 (less than a month old), and in particular channels freezing during viewing. The freezing happens randomly but is very frequent and lasts for between 30 - 90 seconds and then resumes. I can change channel and the channel I change to will be working fine. It seems to only effect non terrestrial channels and is getting worse.

Not sure what image i'm running, but when I scan for channels etc, i use Gav's channal scan...

Anybody have suggestions as to why it is freezing and what I can do to fix it?

Signal levels are usualy Very good on FTA channels
Try the box dirrect to the wall
If this improves the Signal
Get the Argos Booster .......Paul

Thanks for the quick response!

So it's a signal problem? I thought I already had my dbox connected directly.

System set-up as follows;

Wall socket > co-ax cable > DBOX

I have put Gav's image on mine and my dad's boxes and both have started to freeze recently.

Hi

Try changing ucodes and cams till you find a combo that box wrks better with or try another image sometimes some boxes can be a bit funny will work better with some images and not so good with other images. Check what your current signal levelsl are by pressing red then blue button and post results also if you decide to flash with another image make sure you copy your services and bouquets should you need them in future. Thats what makes playing with dboxes so much fun lol.

Regards

Thanks Yusuf Gaz,

"Try changing ucodes and cams" - any chance of a walkthrough on how to do this??

My results from stream information (SS1) as follows;

SNR high - 62708
SNR low - 60909

SIG high - 35566
SIG low - 35209

Bitrate high - 7048
Bitrate low - 1066

I guess my signal rate is the problem as it's below 50000?

Once again thanks in advance to those who respond.

Hi

Your sig is fine and so is your snr dont ow what your ber is but ideally needs to e as ow as possible, is this on freezing channels, most images press blue button and should be an option for settings or emu and codes for you to play with it will reboot after you`ve changed ucode.

If no success try an image change.

Regards

Yeah those readings were taken from one of the channels that freezes.

Ok i'll have a play with the emu etc.

If that doesn't help, can anybody recommend a stable image and source?

Thanks
