Default AU failed, had to input keys manually

Anyone else get this today? I've had the April 08 firmware for months and over the past few days keyrolls seems to have been rife, and its dealt with them as usual. But on coming home from work tonight the screen was showing the 'waiting to update code' box. After waiting for far longer than usual, I unplugged and power cycled the vox, but to no avail.
So i had to resort the the trusty chatterbox for my keys.

What gives i wonder?

Hi all,
Make sure EMM Capture is enabled, this speeds up AU procedure

I always put in on sky sports 1 for the AU to sort itself out. I did leave it for about 5 mins. Maybe on this occasion i should have left it a little longer.

McTazzz.....thanks, i'll look at that too. Usually only takes about 10 secs to update though.
Yesterday must have been just a glitch.....i hope!

Ok, an update.
Last night i could only get fta channels on my htpc with my TT C-1501. And i use mediaportal with AU on which has always worked.
And it turns out this morning i can only get fta on the eurovox too. The kids said it was the same on the vox last night as well (whilst i was out). So it must be a cable issue, but i don't know which way to turn really. I have vm broadband so i do at least subscribe to one service that utilises the cable feed.

Any ideas guys?
