Eurovox EX5000 PVR Questions..

Hi, im thinking of getting a ex5000, but i have a few questions first.
Sorry if i sound a bit stupid,

1. Can you directly record? with the touch of a button.
2. After you have recorded something, do you play it straight of the box?, is there a playlist of what you have recorded?
3. Can you set a weekly timer record for it?.. like for example, every episode of eastenders in the week, do you have to do it separate?
