another dumb*** newbie ?(sorry ppl )apology in advance

hi all ill start as every other person start here , im a newbie here wanted to learn some newstuff especialy in cable box side

ok what i gather uptill now from my reading and im quite sure im wrong is there are couple of ways of getting more channels especially sky movies , sky sports , setanta etc etc
i have a dl 4000-t pace box really old , ive got a all three package from virgin

ok 1st way

buy a eurovox and do manual search or full search and whats missing put in manually

ok 2nd i think more effective way

buy funcard , nagra software, card reader or burner im ot sure about the name and box as well



any way any help or lead to the right thread would be nice
i tried finding the novice angel cable guide through google and bigmaq as well no help couldnt get find it so if you can forward me a pdf format file email me would be nice .
hm... i think this would be a good start
