Default Cut the talkback or Noise Blocker???

Hi Folks,

I've read the tuts on cutting the tb on the sammy 2110 and to be honest it's a bit daunting! Done a few cards and stuff and cut the TB on my pace but removing mother boards and stuff might be a bridge to far!

Has anyone any expreience of cutting the tb on the 2110 or should i rather use the Return Noise Blocker 50dB???

I've read a few threads on here about the Return Noise Blocker 50dB and some people are reporting it doesn't show on the tech screen as return path off, so how can i be sure it was working??

Thanks in advance!

PS - Anyone know were to get them? Fleebay are upto a tenner now! Is lincsat doing them?

you might aswell cut the talk back mate its the best and safest thing to do. all you do is remove the main board from the housing and look for the 4 caps to cut under the motherboard. 2 caps are for talk back and 2 caps are to stop you box freezing sometimes

Hi - Yes it is a bit daunting at first mate but not that difficult. Just remove screws from back of box, remove a further few from inside the box, also remember the little nut on the back where the cable feed attaches. There is a ribbon your meant to take off but you don't have to,just carefully slide the board out & flip it over with the ribbon still attached.
Find the caps that need removed & scrape them of with a small flat head screwdriver.

I think the noise blocker is only reporting "Return path on" with the v+ box but it works fine on the 2110 box as far as i know. Just go for the noise blocker if your not comfortable doing it mate.

good luck
