Hi, i just bought a chipped Ntl cable modem box, already have the tv viewing any chipped and working, i have set it up and plugged it on gettin connected but when i open my browser i come 2 a virgin media page askin 2 ring and cant access net. Any 1 help please? Thank...

I can assume you are buying them from somone else, simply go back and say you would like a new MAC flashing...

Or you could get a max232 lead and learn how to change the mac address yourself, but you would need the login from the trader who you purchased it from.

Search for max232 on google and you will get a link to someone who sells it or pm lincsat he may have one to sell.

You do not need any additional hardware to change the MAC of a modem that has hacked firmware on it.
If its an Ambit download and use the Ambit250_Configurator access the modem by entering the username and password given to you and change the mac/settings yourself.
