hi Guys,
Im new to Virgin TV with my starview. gotta say, amazing. i pay minumum subs to give something back but what i wanted to know is if i could do a similar thing with the internet, ive been reading and it seems i need a hacked modem or something, but do i need virgin broadband installed? or can i use my tv connection or something. Im confused over this and any help would be much appreciated. Please feel free to pm me if this subject is not appropriate thanks guys |

as long as you've got a live feed into your home then you can get the tv and internet
![]() they both come down the same coax, as long as you dont get your services via the fone lines? to get the 20mb package you will need a modem there is many to choose from some are easier to get up and running than others and there is lots of different firmwares (software that you load onto the modem) also different cables need to connect the modem to the pc in order to flash it the easiest modem i have ever used is the ambit 250 from start to finish it takes no longer than 20 mins ( a lot faster once you have done it more than once) there is tutorials kicking about that take you step by step to flash each modem if you need anymore help just post up and i'm sure someone will get back to you to help out mate
