over the last couple of days i have helped users local to me to insert keys in the following boxes eurovox red/eurovox blue/eurovox v black/eurovox pvr/eurovox slimline/ all these boxes have the latest firmware installed for the relevent boxes all work by inserting the latest working keys without changing the firmware or doing a factory reset by using the methods posted on the forum.

Last time this happened it took Chatterbox.cc about 10 days to come up with a new firmware. In meantime typing in codes aint too much of a hassle for TV. Look on the brightside - Mr Branson's employees probably have the weekend off so it will probably be Monday before this pathetic attempt at rolling will start again

Took them from April to try a new rolling way - last time it took about 10 days to write the new firmware! LOL

Can i just say to all those who are still not up and running, please please read ALL the stickies, FAQ's and search thru the various thread (Search tool provided)

If you have the provider codes and the correct keys you WILL get it working, take your time, double check keys and follow instructions.

If you are not up and running i will put money on it being an error on your part.

The keys do work.

To the newbies, I was a newbie to all this in April, and trust me it is far far easier to use the search tool and to do it your self than to just ask for keys ! And i can speak from experience.

If you have a geniune question and you have tried looking in the search tool then by all means post it and i'm sure they will be plenty willing to help you out.

I was stumped yesterday until the info was shared that the C&W keys were mixed up, that is what this forum is about, not begging letters.

Hi All,
New to this so please forgive if you think my questions are a bit thick!!
Are the codes area specific or can be used anywhere and where will I find my service provider code along with the others?
I've been reading posts but just seem to be going round in circles!! All I know is that I need to press MENU then the Yellow button to enter the codes, but do I need to do a complete power scan after?
Thanks,
MartinDJ

hi martin - you might need to know previous provider for your area and the provider code is already in there - press menu, preferences then put 1968 1968 twice into remote - you will have a list of all and the eurovox gives isnstructions!

No scan is needed, the provider codes set by your original installer of cable.

If you have key master try all keys with matching provider codes, you will do no harm trying them all. Then when you get it working you will know which is yours

Provider Codes are

C&W = 5c01
NTL/PURE = 5401
TW = 5a01

I updated my keys last night and its still working today. Even if they never find firmware its not so hard changing keys once a day.

You'll find that the keys only get rolled during 'work' hrs ie 9-5 Mon-Fri.

Its costs them enough without paying staff overtime
