Today, a couple of times, I got the dreaded "Please Wait: Codes Being Updated" so I dutifully hit Menu & the Yellow Button only to find keys were the same as those on a refreshed Keymaster (i.e. not updated yet). Strange thing is ... when I hit OK on the remote, the channels came back anyway. Anyone else had this?

Had a similar experience yesterday after a key roll. Updated the keys on my FTA101 and then went into the bedroom to do the Starview 3. Got into the menu but the keys had somehow updated themselves.

you can use the max blue firmware but you will need to buy a max retote as the ev2 remote will no longer work

They will still do the keyrolls even though new firmware - also note all firmware is not out for all boxes - like me with a euro 1
