press MENU then LANGUAGE SETTINGS then type 1968 twice. The new firmware (UFL_EX5000_DarX_01-12-08) should fix the auto update of keys as far as I am aware, haven't tested it myself as yet. You can download it via the toolbar (search works!) good luck.

Default ex5000 emulation / auto update / firmware / emm

Can anyone help me?

I have a Eurovox EX5000PVR. I have flashed it with new firmware, and checked that it's there in the system info. I have enabled emulation. And I have waited when the "Please wait" message shows. And waited ... and waited .. overnight, even. Basically I have done everything I am suposed to (I think) and still it won't auto-update. Manual entry of k**ys works fine, but needs done once or twice a day, it seems.
