Temporary DREAMBOX 500c Fix

Emergency Key Change
7. Press down arrow (4 Times) until you highlight "Keylist.txt"
8. Press 4 (to edit the file)
9. You will now see the keylist. First line beginning with 00 needs to be changed slightly. The sequence 00 F57*****D352D**** (You will not see any * but they will be number do not touch them)
10. Press OK to select the line to edit.
11. Press Right arrow 19 times to you highlight the "5" and change it to an "F" by pressing "3" until your get "F"

Hi all,

I have a dreambox 500c and have tried to edit the keylist.txt file as described above. i dont seem to have a line that fits that sequence. The three lines in this file are as follows

N 5A01 01 16CF0CA7A7E00222
N 5A01 00 E82593829E900EA2
N 5A01 00 E82522826A900EA2

HONCHO can you help at all? Last april there was a key change that required a simple reflash although that doesnt seem to be the case this time and struggling to get up and running again.
