Default Advice on installation of box

Hello I know many of our boxes are down at present but hopefully there can be a fix!!

I was wondering though while I have had my box working over the past 18 months which cable provider I should select for the auto scanning of channels.

I was ex cable and wireless which was took over by NTL and now Virgin.

On my options I have Ex cable & wireless, NTL, TW, OM and Chorus!!

If I select NTL it doesnt find any channels which seems strange as they were my supplier at the time I got the box.

If I use Ex C/W it finds 280 Channels and if I use TW it finds 260 channels.

I havent tried the other 2.

I am in Manchester so which is the best to use and why does it not find any channels when NTL is selected?

Thank you

Pete
