I updated my eurovox ultra dm500C with image v2.1 a few months ago.
The box was running fine till yesterday when I lost all the channels. Is there a new image that I need to flash the box with? I was getting most channels apart from a few like setlanta (all the variants of setlanta are coming apart from setlanta itself) and MAX (Indian channel). I tried restarting EVOCAMd and rebooting the whole system but out of several tries, MAX only came out once and then I lost it again automatically.. With the previous image 1.6, all of these channels were coming but I was just fed up of having to update keys.. Nothing is helping to get the channels back at the moment. I've tried rescan, restart EVOCAM, reload channels, factory reset etc. Could I've some help please? Is there a way to manually enter the keys with this image? Thanks in advance... Yes you can as I have done my own. Found this guide from another forum (in fact the same site who's name is on the images we use. to help. Once you get the new Keys. ![]() Emergency Key Change 1. Press Yellow 2. Select Tuxbox Commander 3. Press down arrow (9 Times) until you highlight "var" in LEFT window. 4. Press OK 5. Press down arrow (3 Times) until you highlight "keys" 6. Press OK 7. Press down arrow (4 Times) until you highlight "Keylist.txt" 8. Press 4 (to edit the file) 9. You will now see the keylist. First line beginning with 00 needs to be changed slightly. The sequence 00 F57*****D352D**** (You will not see any * but they will be number do not touch them) 10. Press OK to select the line to edit. 11. Press Right arrow 19 times to you highlight the "5" and change it to an "F" by pressing "3" until your get "F" 12. Press OK to make the change. 13. Press Exit 14. Press Red (to save changes) 15. Press Exit 16. Press Red (to save changes) 17. Press Exit 18. Now that’s done lets restart Evocam – Press Blue Button 19. Press OK 20. Done Last edited by maxweb; 28-11-08 at 03:15 PM. Hi there
Got to the point where you open the file Keylist.txt. However, it asked me if you wanted to run the file when I tried to open/ edit to which I said yes. When I opened it, it was emplty, there were no keys there to edit. How do I add keys now or get keys back to edit? Please note that when had my old image v1.6, I used to edit keys all the time, this time the tuxbox commander was a bit difficult to locate and hence I asked for help here. Hope this is not end of road. Thanks for your help in advance. |

Hi
I have made the same mistake in the past.. When you get to select Keylist.txt you have to then select number 4 on the remote. Not OK/Open otherwise you get the blank screen. Once you select Number 4 you will be presented with the list of Keys. scroll up/down to correct line , select OK and it will be ready to edit. Select Yellow button to put in Uppercase mode and then use Left/Right arrow keys to move the cursor. Select save / reboot and you should be ok, I have already done another change earlier today as the was another key change about 1hr ok. Regards M
