Hi all. I know walking a noob through problems is not everyones idea of fun but I wonder if anyone may be able to help with some questions that I have. Basically, I bought a Kryptview box recently and didn't have to do anything technical to install it was just plug and play. With the recent problems i'd like to understand it a bit better.
1. To fix the current problems will i need to install the new yet-to-be-released firmware? If so, can i do it myself from my laptop using a USB to RS232 cable? Does anyone know where I might be able to find detailed instructions on how to do this? 2. If i get the firmware upgrade will that mean that there is no need to manually update the 'key'? I'm assuming the key is an encryption key to decrypt he cable signal. Is this right? Many thanks in advance |
