Default READ THIS! [STEP BY STEP] How To Fix Your Eurovox

PLEASE NOTE: I WROTE UP THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND I AM NOT HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY THING THAT GOES WRONG WITH YOUR BOX. I USED THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO FIX MY EUROVOX PVR 5000

Here I will post a step by step of how I fixed my eurovox today.

1. Download the toolbar from the banner on the website: TheChatterBox | Cable TV Specialists

2. Have firefox or internet explorer open and install the toolbar

3. Once you have you'll have a box open saying if you want to make it your default search engine.... Just tick whatever you want and click ok

3. Restart your browser and then you will see a toolbar with with a heading which says "TCB.cc" then a search box and so on, after the search bar is a "go" button and on the right of that a large key icon. Click the key icon and you'll see a drop down menu. On that drop down menu you will see two options: one which says "keymaster 1.0" and another one below that. Click on keymaster 1.0 and then click on "download the latest keymaster 1.0" Next you'll have a pop up box asking if you want to save or open the file. Save the file to desktop and wait for it to download. It should be downloaded fairly quick depending on your internet speed.

NOTE: IF THE TOOLBAR DOESN'T DOWNLOAD THEN DOWNLOAD THE KEYMASTER APPLICATION FROM:

http://***************/files/168199724/Keymaster.rar

4. To open the file you need "winrar" goto WinRAR archiver, a powerful tool to process RAR and ZIP files click on whatever language you require and it will download the program. after downloading winrar just install it.

5. After installation of the program if you click on desktop you will see a file which says "keymaster.rar", Double click that and then next click on "extract to" then click on desktop. Next you should have the program "keymaster" on your desktop with a info file.

6. Double click on the keymaster application and it should open. Click refresh to get the latest keys.

7. On your eurovox click on menu, then click the yellow button. You should now have a configureation menu which has popped up. Enter 5401 on your first line and then find the relevent keys on keymaster, and enter first the 00 keys then the 01 keys. For my box (Eurovox PVR 5000" the pure keys worked. The pure keys I used work in Leicester so I think they should work around the midlands.

8. Once you have entered the codes click on ok to save and then exit. And you should have your channels back.

Hope that helped.

Please note the 5401 is specific to your area!

The provider code is for the name of the company who supplied your cable service before VM. If you can't find out all you can do is enter the provider code, then the keys for that provider and see what happens. If that doesn't work then I'm guessing you'll be on ex C&W, which everyone is struggling with.

The following are the provider codes for the OLD name of your provider.

Ex C&W 5c01
PURE NTL 5401
TELEWEST 5a01

If you get no joy pm me and I'll see if I can get you through it.

Phil.
