Someone please confirm my dish/motor elevation/declination settings??

Right the dish is up and (almost) running...
Weak signal is my problem now 70%strength only 5% quality?? i've got a sat finder on it maximised the amplitude via that (on 1w) still doen't pick anything up??
Due to the fracarro lnb holder it is difficult to adjust - is this whats needed? any other ideas??

You have probably picked up 5W or 4.8E or even further afield.

Have a quick run through the transponders on the adjacent sats and see if you have good quality oon any of them. Doing a tranponder scan will tell you what sat you have by seeing what channels you get.

Alternatively ditch the meter, use a portable TV, monitor Thor and fiddle with dish until you get a signal on 11325H. Move the dish slowly and smoothly.

Adjust the Skew to zero.

Had the same problem. Set the motor to my latitude but didn't have a clue about the dish angle. In the end, i drove the motor to Astra pointed it to the dish in the direction of everyone else's dishes and it picked up. I then aligned it on Astra as best i could, drove it back to Thor and then found it much easier to accurately align in the Thor BTV test signal.

Prior to doing it this was, i spent about an hour trying. Doing it this way took me 15 minutes and all other satellites pick up fine

I'm no expert but it worked well for me. Good luck

Only finding 9 sats with usals???
god knows what happened there, but it doesn't matter cos then i went and killed my effing tm3100...
My only hope now is that my skystar hd2 will run my motor!
Rescued the stb, only problem now thor reading 1e????
