can you ping your dbox ip address from a command line?
If yes then password is probably wrong (bug in v1.0.1/2 does not report connection error, will be fixed in 1.0.3) else check out recent post about FTP'ing (just to find out how to setup dbox on network, this app has a built in ftp client)

Are there any files in the folder i.e Keylist.txt, and if so select the "rights" - "press 1" for the file, and report back. Perhaps try flashing different image, one of the already confirmed images?

I have updated first post with some info on how to turn auto updates off, and some other stuff. I am trying to keep all relevant info in first post, so check it now and again.

winker....thats dude!!
![]() UNRAR the file (Dboxkeys.exe) 1. Run the application (internet connection must be in place) 2. Click on 'Get the latest keys please' - This should populate the empty boxes!! 3. Put in the username/password for the DBOX (Normally - root/dbox2) and the IP address. 4. ping the address!! make sure you get a reply 5. Select your old provider - eg TW KEYS, then select the 'write file' box!! - This'll create the Keylist.txt file 6. The box at the bottom 'FTP File to Box' will be active....click on this and the file will be copied over to the Dbox. a message will pop up - "Upload complete in x.xx seconds. Now Reboot the box. " This is quite a cool tool cos in all it'll take about 10 sec.... Last edited by Bapu; 28-11-08 at 11:35 PM. |
