Cant read or write MOSC - any help appreciated

Hey guys
Have programmed plenty of atmega's and fun's with no problems but first go at a mosc and now im stuck.
Im having some real trouble here trying to program a MOSC that I know was previously working with a pace 2000. Not sure if there is anything wrong with the card as it is for a friend.

Everytime i try to read the card in nagra or XNCS i just keep getting:
invalid atr string.
Cant get any further than that.

Tried all sorts of settings, phoenix mode with all options the lot!
Im stuck

Just to note im using infinity usb programmer (dont no if thats my problem)

could be that the card has taken a hit sometime hence the invalid atr string

try ur programmer in phoenix 3.56 , then try nag edit to read from card , take card out try again , try a couple of times that way , i had one that did similar and after a few insertions it let me read it

dave, just tried what you recommended then but with no luck.

This time nagra brings up an atr string which is just all 0's and then i get the error message:
unsupported card type.

Not sure what to try next, or has this card had it and should i just give up.

If anybody got any clues please send them my way its doing my head in!

You should read it in 3.68, have you got bk + ird already ?

Yes already got the bk and ird so dont need to worry about keeping any content from the card would just like to write a new image to it.

Tried 3.58 and 3.68 in phoenix mode but still with no success.

Ok as of this morning somewhat of a change but still stuck.

Using XNCS i am able to send a raw emm to the card.
Tried a few of the emm's available with XNCS and when ive sent each one i read the card with the same respone:

Unsuficient bytes for atr(4),not a nagra card.
ATR=21C000E1
Sorry...Not Dumping card.

So now im even more confused than last night. Not sure what to make of it.
Hope somebody else knows

try art kit beta, that may help. it is very hit and miss though. the numbers under the stop buttons should run fast, about a minute should be enough if it is going to work.

Sorry if i sound thick but what exactly is art kit beta?

Never heard of this before. Guessing its some kind of software similar to XNCS or nagra.

If you could shed some light I would be grateful.

M8ty, Have u tried WinEXplorer to read and write to the card? Good bit of kit. Plenty of scripts 4 it 2.

have you tried repairing the card with card tolls/mrom

atr kit appeared in the uk after the killer emm went out (nov06). it has limited success.
