Default Pace MSS1000

Hi there, I got a Pace MSS1000 (hence the title) and used to have it rigged upto a motorised dish and picked up lots of different (mostly foreign) channels.

Just wondering if I can connect it to a spare dish from SKY and pick anything up, obviously pointing it at the right satellite.

If so, how do I set the box up, ie the settings. Also, which satelitte should I point it at and whih channel should i be trying to view - just to make sure that its working?

Looked around on the net and cant find anything.
Every manual i find for it has to be bought but I dont wanna pay for a manual if it dont say how to set it up or where to point the dish.

Thanks guys.

Oh, im in the UK, and I also have a quad LNB and the dish is static. If I can get it to work, I would invest in a motorised dish.

The mss1000 was a analogue receiver so anything you get or want must be in analogue only, also lnb must be analogue as well.

There is not much on analogue now mate and it will all be gone by 1012, so sad to say, unless you use it to drive a dish it is not much good. Your sky dish will be for digital and you will not get any channels using that box, they were a great old box in their day, I had one about 15 years ago or so, way back when D2 Mac was on the go.
