Default is my simple key guide ok?

as a few boxes went out of area I wrote a small guide for my mates

Does this look ok?

Quote:
Go menu, lauguages click ok, type 1968 1968 and a hidden menu pops up

press the LEFT arrow key and you should get a menu should come up with ntl, telewest & C&W

2 boxes should be for telewest both with a provider of 5a 01, then you will see key 00 and key 01 on the box right of that.

so if we wanted to change key 00

we move down with the arrow key to that box and press OK

you then see you are into the data key new window open? with 4 rows?

To do the keys u you use left and right to scrool the letters from a-f and 0-9, to move to the next letter you press ok, and so on to you replace the keys ( you know where you are as the letter/number flashing )

then press GREEN to save and exit, do the next key if needed ie 01

if not just exit exit ect to tv, you may see a updating screen, change channel , if no image in 5 seconds then go back to menu ok 1968 1968 ect and DOUBLE check your keys AS mine the other day didnt save right

if this needs adding to folks, let me know
thanks

...Or you could just PRESS MENU then PRESS YELLOW then enter provider code and then enter KEY0 and KEY1 click OK done. (0-9 numbers work as the numbers and certain keys on the remote work as letters from A-F, IT TELLS WHICH ARE WHICH ON THE MENU SCREEN!)

Yup.
Once you know which keys on the remote corrospond to the A-F letters, takes less than 30 seconds to change BOTH keys and resume `normal` TV.

yes but there is an argument to be made that as sometimes only a couple of digets change and that the 1st method can be done in 25 seconds you choose? lol
