Default wired/wireless which modem will pc use?

Hi,

Just made a bit of a schoolboy error....

Grabbed my laptop, connected motorola 20mb modem by ethernet spoofed mac and downloaded some stuff....

Didn't realise i hadn't turned wireless off so was connected to wireless network which has 2mb paid modem on it. Non spoofed mac

I know the pc was using the 20mb connection as it was coming down so fast but is there any way the two ip's or macs will have been linked on the system as they were both online at same time - or will the pc have kept them separate??

when i did speedtest it showed ip of spoofed mac and motorola!

Hope i make sense

Both will be online at the same time however only one will be in use at one given time. Windows will typically use the default NIC for connection, in the case of a laptop I would imagine the wired would be set as default.

The reason that it showed both is the may be bridged (this doesnt mean they are being used at the same time).
