Box Not Detected!

Hey all, i'm trying to update a kryptview A700C for my mate, i've never done these boxes before so i'm lost. Basically i'm following these instructions below:

Loading software to
KRYPTViEW ArnEt

You will not get any channels until this part has been completed in FULL

Using the RS232 cable connect the box to the back of your computer
Plug the KRYPTViEW ArnEt into the mains power supply
Make sure The KRYPTViEW ArnEt displays 0000 on the front of the box
Double click the KRYPTViEW ArnEt loader (it looks like a grey satellite dish)


The loader will open

Click the green download button
Another box will open saying Code Send

Click Open…

Click on KRYPTViEW SOFTWARE once, so it is highlighted
Then click the Open button
This file will now appear File box

Click Start in the loader box then immediately press the RED button half way down the remote control TWICE, then the STANDBY button at the top left hand corner of the remote. (Red circle with a line at the top)
So its START-RED-RED-STANDBY

The software will start downloading

The display on the front of the KRYPTViEW ArnEt will have a green line going round and round
Wait until it says Download Success !


Congratulations you have now programmed your KRYPTViEW ArnEt
Now plug it into your TV, Choose your Provider e.g. NTL, T/W etc and scan for channels.

JOB DONE!!!!

Ok so i'm following those instructions but when i plug the box into my pc the numbers on the box DON'T change to 0000! I've tried to switch the box on and off and still no difference. I've restarted my pc in case it was my pc giving a problem but still not detected yet! Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Forgot to mention that the software i'm using as the loader is DownTool_0927

Just connect it to pc,open loader ready hit download once youve loaded the file then power the box up it should then trasnfer,

you should only get 0000 display if you factory reset your box first...no need to tho

hi people starting to go mad and brains gone to mush.
i`ve got everything i need to fix my box but after downloading file to my documents when i try to locate it in download tool it wont show when click on my documents. tryed to put it to another location such as my recieved files and when clicked on still wont show up......cant drag and drop either. what am i doing wrong

leave the file on your desktop.... loader should pick it up from there

Make sure you have unzipped/unrared the file first otherwise the download tool will not see it.
