Think we all need to TRY & tolerate each other i guess. We all need to ask questions from time to time ( not without searching first of course!).

Maybe we could have a poll to decide what the noobies/novices/numpties find the most difficult when using/navigating the site etc, & the same for the teccies what they find the most annoying about the noobies/novices/numpties & maybe then we could devote a tutorial (hope there isn`t one already, gonna sound like a right pillock otherwise) to searching for what they want. (yeah even i know it`s easy peasy, now!)

All the above said when all has calmed down & bigmaq/tbc.cc is sorted (might be already) & everyone has got their new firmware loaded, & there is a lull to spend time on something to help both parties, teccies & noobies/novices/numpties live in harmony!

I`ve got a `friend` (yeah it`s me) who hasn`t asked many questions at all but he does find some of the abbreviations & computer talk a bit tricky.
i do have a good look first for all my questions but when i`ve got a niggly one i`m just not sure on i think `shall i ask the question or not` cause i dont know if i can be naffed with a smart arsed answer let alone an answer i need to follow with another question cause i don`t speak da speak.

Again all this said I`m very grateful for info i have received & just the fun of browsing this site.

Merry Chrimbo.

i'll ave a bit of that

You only have to spend about 10 seconds to search for most problems and fixes, one kind member has even gone to the trouble of making a video tutorial,so just spending a few minutes looking round and maybe saying hello before,,,,bull in a chinashop...fix me fix me now!!!!??

I didnt want to bring out the big words but>>> SPOONFEEDING

tbh i think the proplem is a lot of people are buying pre flashed modems, ntlboxs and starveiw, dreamboxs, so they dont learn anything, i rather learn from the ground up, learn to flash or read cards, i still get stuck on a couple of things but it only takes a search to find what i wont...it would be interesting to have a poll on who bought preflashed stuff

Its certainly veering towards being a cable technical fixes dominated thread, so I think I'll close this one and ask our cable boys to tootle over to the cable section if they want to discuss the ways and means to defraud VM further. And leave the rest of the forum to the folks who dont have the slightest interest in cable topics.
