Hi sorry to sound very n00bish but i have searched every where before posting my question.
I have a Arnet A700c and i need to get the new codes or update on. I got a RS232 male - female cable and i added a gender changer female - female. This is connected to the A700c and my pc the com ports are all ok com 1 and 2. I have KRYPTViEW ArnEt loader.exe and the .bin file dated 281108 file size 1280KB I click on the green download button on kryptview arnet loader and click open i select the .bin file and click start then i press the red button on the remote twice and then hit standby on the remote. I then get this message The Downloading is not requested I think i must be doing something very stupid please help i have searched google and several forums and now lost

Yeah mate they are just general Com Port 1 & 2 and i have selected these, when i went too maplins to buy the gender changer the assistant said that it would not work and i would need a null modem cable as its not straight through connection.
I disagree with what he has to say as a gender changer can not change the order of the layout in cables and they are always straight through. but know i'm doubting my self can any one confirm this or have any other ideas please. thanks |

Try unplugging kryptview box, connect cable to computer and kryptview box. on loader click start and plug kryptview box back in straightaway(as soon after you click start as possible) and it should start to update software, just wait for loader to say download successful.
When I go to the safely remove icon in the bottom right corner it tells me what my com port is for the lead. |

I am using a null RS232, not a cable and i have all the channels now. To download to the kryptview you must unplug it, press send in the downloader, then plug it in.
