First computer was an Acorn Electron, glad to see the love for Acorns is strong here!
After that, I got a PC, years later. We used BBC's and Acorns at school. I even have an Acorn A7000+ on my desk now that I use from time to time. If anyone is interested, Acorn computers are still being produced with the classic Acorn logo but as Windows based machines. I cant post links yet, but if you search for Acorn Computers, you will find it quick enough. |

![]() Its HUGE and dates from the late 1970's / early 1980's and the basic version had a whopping 4k of memory in it! (Expandable to 56k!!!!) Research Machines 380Z - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks for that link Analoguesat.
Fun days at school, the Computer Studies students got to program on a 380Z between it working out each year's timetables. Ours had two 5.25" floppy drives, 10" mono CRT monitor (like the shop CCTV used to have), clunky metal-cased keyboard, HI-RES graphics, and I assume the 64K max RAM. |

This one has the 2x 5.25" floppy drives in it.
I havent dared plug it into the mains to see if it still powers up It probably would but I also think our new head master wouldnt be too pleased if I burned the school down!

My first computer was a spectrum 125, or was that a motorbike.
![]() It was a tidy small black box, a step up from the rubber keyed 48. Next was the grey spectrum ZX plus a present from Santa. So the misses told me, i was just glad it was not the C5. ![]() Alucard.
