Hi and hello to you all. I do hope you can help me. Been trying to update Microsoft Office Proffesional Edition 2003 via the automatic update prog but keep getting this message,
"the feature you are tring to use is on a network resource that is not available. .......Clik ok to try again or enter alternative path to a folder containing the installation package 'PRO11.MSI' " The software was pre loaded at a independant computer shop but no back updisk or anything came with it. Any suggestions. (office service pack3) Also used to use virgin broadband PC Guard but had lots of problems. Use AVG8 now but cannot get rid / delete all of the PC Guard files and get fatal error on boot up although AVG kicks in. Virgin Broadband advisor uninstall tells me I need to uninstall security services first ? Help

You should have the Office Professional disk if it came with the PC - that's a few hundred pounds worth of software, and if you don't have the disk, it sounds like you may need to contact the shop to get something from them.
As for security software - often a pain, but make sure you back up all your files first - it may even be worth doing a full reinstall of everything. |
