hi ive just bought a ntl 250 flashed modem with infinite firmware ive read throught the forums and think the mac address is wrong for my area the guy i got it of said he would sort it out i know the modem works in liverpool but im from widnes isw there anyway i can change the mac address myself so i dont have to wait?

Yes, you can change the mac yourself using 250_configurator.
Look in the private fta section.
You can access the modem via your ethernet cable as long as you know the username and password for the modem you have.
