how do i get artsports channel through satellite would any sats from maplins work?

Probably not - ART is encrypted so you need a suitable one that will take a subs card.

The choice of satellite receivers at Maplin is very limited. You are better off getting one from one of the many online suppliers. When you buy the card check what the requirements are before purchasing.

if so and for football try sopcast it carries a lot of football otherwise, i doubt it!

You need a dish then. A 60cm dish from Maplins or Screwfix would do for Hotbird 13E

The TM1500 is a satellite receiver.

yea but the quality might be quite bad on a big 28" tv?
