killed my dream box

hi to all .. im a newbe and lost all my channels the other day like most . was given some key numbers to put in and when i tryed even tho i could not find where to put them i tryed a few things now nothing works no screen and not even the remote works ?? dont know what i have done can any one help ...?

u need a null modem serial cable and use dreamup to install a new img

thanks but cant i do it with just a ethernet cable ? or do i need that null modem cable ? i tryed to download the link but didnt work ?

if ur box don't boot then it won't assign an ip addy......u will need to use dreamup this assigns it's own bootloader....

ok so i uploaded the link and download the flash part connected my box with a ethernet connection and pluged in when asked it said made connection but that was it nothing happened ??

ethernet won't work unless u have a working img........

u need a null modem serial cable....hurry b4 the maplins close

ok so ive done all that u said and when it finished even tho when it said wha file to use not to sure what one it was ?? after it was done it just sat there did not say ok ?? so i unpluged it waited and tryed it ?? it did not work ?
