Ive been trying all the latest keys from keymaster aka bigmaq toolbar, and the latest ones are working, they only work cos the provider codes are shown cos the newcastle area was always 05 01 and are now 5a 01, dont know if that makes the difference, but all my channels are back.
see how long this lasts! |

Try this:
This is how I updated the keys on my Eurovox EX5000. Hope it may be of some help to someone. 1. G00gle and download the BIGMAQ toolbar 2. Install the toolbar and refresh your browser 3. Click on the KEY symbol and select and download the KEYMASTER program to your computer 4. Open the downloaded program with WINRAR (G00gle it if you don't have it) 5. Click the refresh button in the KEYMASTER program 6. Select the key for the provider code that corresponds to the original supplier of your cable service from before Virgin took over 7. CW keys are Cable and Wireless, TW keys are Telewest, Pure keys are NTL 8. Make a note of the keys you need. 9. On your Eurovox press: Menu/Yellow button to display the NAGRA edit box 10. In the provider box enter the corresponding provider code. 11. NTL: 5401 C&W: 5C01 TW : 5A01 12. Enter the keys from the KEYMASTER where it says: Key 00 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** Key 01 ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** (Letters are entered according to the code on the screen. A = TV, B = Radio... etc) 13. Click OK to save these settings 14. Press exit twice and select a pay channel on the box and hopefully that will have done it I know the above works on my Eurovox EX5000 (it should do, I've done it often enough) but obviously I can't and won't be held responsible for any damage caused to your box if you use this guide and have problems with it. |

Following Phils post above, when the keys get rolled you can just refresh the Keymaster program and you'll know by the dates an if you have made notes of the keys when they have changed. This will eliviate the need to post on here that
a) the keys have been rolled (we all know we are in the same boat) b) when they have been updated (we all know coz we are all waiting) Thanks and good post Phil |
