Evening all.

I am asking for help on behalf of a family member who has the Samsung SMT 2100C cable box. Probably more commonly known as a N*L box. I have ZERO knowledge on these models or how to fix them so am asking for help from the veterans of this board.

I have a Eurovox and know how to input keys etc to get it up and running after a key roll but i dont know how these other boxes work.

It has a cable connection in the back as per the eurovox but these rely on a card to pick up channels. The one inside says its a "funcard 4 prussian galaxy 2".

After the change on Wednesday (or thereabouts), the box went down and no channels can be picked up. The box has been resetted 50 time but nothing.

Bearing in mind i wouldnt even rate myself as highly as a novice when it comes to these things, could anyone tell me what the situation is and how to resolve it?

ok m8 pm me ur addy and i will sort u out.

if it was modded b4 and was working then u need programmer to read the card and write it back.

PS: u need to read read and read more

hello you well need a card programmer ato re programme the card with the new flash.
if you need more help pm me with your msn addy and i talk you tho it on there as long as you have a programmer

Thanks for your reply people. I begin to read a few of the stickys but i was lost as they all seemed to presume you knew what a programmer, BK codes etc are before explaining what to do!

What is a programmer, where do you get them from and for how much?

Nope not yet. abaaba sent me a guide but it looks very complicated and looks like im going to need a lot of equipment as well. J taggers? Programmers etc? Where on earth would i get all this from?

Do you think you need to be more of a professional techy type to do this or should i just try and find a working funcard to buy to get back in business?

all you really need is a porgrammer, if you have a caes with the box. not too expensive, and once you have that, you'll be up and running in no time, and sorted for the next time the keys go funny ans the card doesnt update
