Question Would new firmware....

Would new firmware actually make much difference to the current situation ?

i.e. what would the new firmware do differently that the current firmware doesn't. I figured it would only have a collection of keys it runs thru until it finds the one that work... so any new firmware would just have some updated keys which would be rendered useless again after a few days of key rolling by VM... right ? or am i looking at this too simplistically ?

any of the clever people out there care to explain/elaborate on this ?

Uses a different algorithm to break the code so will be able to auto update and get the code right...

yes m8 u r, the firmware contains an algorithm that it used to generate next set of codes, based on certain criteria such as time od day, and i mean exact time to one millionth of a second, this is base condition to calculate/generate new code. when the boffs have worked it out the firmware will predict new codes, vm have to change algo to fk it up,
