Default Lost VM Box

I recently lost my original box (VM), anyone got experience in getting a new one out of them without having to fork out £250?

I don't want to cancel my subscription but it seems a bit much for an old box which they've replaced since.

Look for a broken one from fleebay or maybe a working one, ring virgin and say your box has stopped working etc and you will then get a new one free of charge. If you can find a broken one it will sell for penuts...

Thanks for the reply. Just thinking will they not have the serial or other numbers and the card too?

Where can I start to look for one?

Ignore my last question on where to start looking!!!!

How I lost it is a good question. Left it safe and sound until some work/repairs being done - then some clever clog decided to skip a bag containing the box without checking.

Like you I was left asking how on earth/why on earth........

not funny at the time but I definately stopped laughing when I was told they charge £250.

You could chance your arm by doing what a friend of mine did, he reported a burglary from your his house i.e. someone creeped into his living room in the middle of the night while he was in bed and made off with the Virgin box, dvd recorder and nintendo wii (he said all 3 for effect). get a report slip from the coppers then call VM and told them he wasn't insured and they showed compassion and gave him another free of charge....
