Has he deleted the channel list. If so will need to retune the receiver. Nothing else springs to mind at the moment.

Yes, press the menu button, go to motorised setup, select Thor or 1W,then Goto and perform a scan.
Then do the same for all the other satellites. If he has no transponders in at all, got to lyngsat and put one in using Advanced setup. 11325H on 0.8W for example. Then scan that. Also remember to put the USALS settings back in for the site longitude and latitude ( Actually, this needed to have been done first) A quick way to populate all the satellites is to download a channel list to it using the RS232 port

Thanks for the help i have just been told he has all the sats still listed so it must be simply just scanning for all the channels again.
Just wondering also what is the bling scan for. |

Blind scan searches for live transponders and channels, which means that you don't need to manually add them. However for satellites close together ie. 9e and 10e if you perform a blind scan you will get a 'mongrel' list of channels for each sat.
You are better just scanning existing tansponders for now. Blind scanning is more useful for hunting for live feeds - which come and go. |

If you use blind scan on a TM1500 it will fill up the channel memory on no time, especially on Hotbird, or 28E.
