My friend has bought a new PC, it has 1 GHz Intel Pentium-III processor and Intel 815 motherboard but it gives hp logo on startup? Why this happens?

new pc? Are you sure? maybe its a mobo from a previous hp cpu.It happens to my friend once before..

I phoned my friend yesterday and he got it answered. Its actually because the BIOS is hp made.

Bios made by hp, the past expierence ive had with them, I hate the company!

I've had no problem with them so far. I also have hp printer and it works great for me.

Well I know that Compaq makes bios and now HP owns Compaq so that explains it.
