At the moment ive not heard anything about any fixes for starview 1/2.

I seem to be getting mixed feelings about these boxes.
Some are saying that it will just take time for a new fix, others are saying that people are not really bothering with these boxes anymore as there old!

I really hope this isnt the case. Looked into making a fix for starview one myself.... dont no where to start!
Need help from the people who really know what they are doing.

Guess we will have to sit tight in hope

I think i've got it........almost.

Where does the Box PVR (non usb and it doesn't say super on the front) fit in to the Starview 1,2,3,4 list?

I'm not sure if mine is Starview 1 or 2, If you caa remember just before the Starview 'The Box' came out, Starview had released another Starview that had a faster tuner than the original Starview and many had called it the Starview 2, but then the Box came out and that was being called the Starview 2, so now i'm confused as to which one my Starview box is 1 or 2?

Oh well they'll probably release the same firmware for both anyway as it's essentially the same hardware just with a better tuner...I think.

Thanks for all the help guys, htis place has been a great help, i've been driven up the wall from friends and relatives calling every five seconds because all their channels have gone...couldn't they go to the person they brought the boxes from?

Just because I know how to operate a keyboard and mouse some people seem to think I have an engeneering degree or something.

found this very usefull so far. i 'inhereted' a 'starview' when the hits came. the guy was in tears and i couldnt help him apart from swapping his starview for a pace with a mosc. its handy to have and my null modem cable is on its way.

i have had a read of a few threads on these boxes and understand there are clones. is there a way to tell if i have a clone? by the sounds of things in this thread, i have a starview1.

Also not sure if you are aware but there are two different firmware's available for the starview one.

One firmware for original, another for the clones.

Be very careful not to put a real firmware on a clone box as it will kill it.

Read through various posts myself as also a starview one owner and yes there is only one clone version of the starview.

Well as far as i know anyway never heard or seen of more than one, so yes I beleive there is just the one clone.
