hi all,
just to let you know i tried the new clone safe firmware (eurovox blue - from TCB toolbar) for the boxes that were freezing with the other firmware version - and it worked! just make sure you reset your boxes (using the coax method as prev described), update it with the 21/04/08 au fix, then the newest clone safe fix...and should work.

thanks to all those involved!!

Had a curious problem with my EX5000 (01/12-08 firmware) the last few days, when I go to the last channel on my list (currently 272 and I assume its someone elses vod) the box reboots. Then the channel opens and plays ok, obvioulsy this is not really a problem as I don't watch this channel and can delete it, just thought might be worth flagging this little bug.

Another thing I forgot to mention is if I'm channel hopping using the chanel + button, on a few occasions, maybe after going through 10 or so channels the box will just reboot for no apparent reason.

Also box has had a few glitches when I've tried running manual channel update, have carried this out about 10 times, on each occassion the scan has never worked first time, a majority of the time I get a black screen - after waiting a min or so I pressed exit and returned to the manual scan screen tried the manual scan again and its worked second time of asking. However on a few occasions to scan it has frozen and rebooted on another.

Please don't take this post as a complaint, I wouldn't care if the box rebooted every half an hour given the joy its bringing to me, just thought I'd report it.

Only changed I've made to the box recently is a manual channel update to retrieve MUTV and edited & downloaded a new cdf with this change.

Irrespective of when the firmware has been updated, as soon as the N3 stream is switched on, everything dies, apart from the terrestrial channels that you would get on a standard TV through a standard aerial.

It's a case of either go the Virgin or Sky subscription route or look into card sharing (google it, don't ask here, not allowed) if you want all the channels you used to have.
