Default Firmware probs with Max v?

May be having probs with latest firmware on Max v 2008 (I have searched other postings for info but nothing) - Have downloaded f/w (twice!) but I now cannot tune into any channels.
I followed same procedure as last firmware update in April (which was completed successfully), can anyone please point me in right direction?
Out of interest I checked the key codes & provider info, they were all set at 0.

Thanks for replies, appreciated.
Have done several powerscans, but nothing.
Will have a reread of other postings again, see if I can sort it.

Try a factory reset then power scan.

We have 3 2008 Max V's in the house, I've just updated them all 1 after the other, all worked first time flawlessly and all accepted the cdf I backed up just before updating. Cheers to whoever in the world made the new update.

Out of interest I downloaded the April firmware back onto the box & imputted the last set of key codes, and hey presto! powerscan worked, and got all the channels back. Have downloaded the latest firmware yet again from Bigmaq toolbar, but still not getting any channels Still don't understand what's happening...
I also noticed a an additional title has been added under installation, which is "deep scan" - is it worth trying this?
